At March 16 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security, the RA Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan presented the report of the Ministry related to the Performance of 2020.

The Minister noted that during the war, the rescuers as soldiers took part in the military actions. Both during the war and the post-war period, they are engaged in searching for missing persons and corpses, as well as in the evacuation.

Andranik Piloyan also informed that in the reporting period, about 40 cars were provided to the regional subdivisions of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Syunik, Lori and Shirak.

In the reporting period, training programmes on earthquakes were revised and introduced to the Government.

In the previous year, courses to improve the qualification of the staff were held. A number of employees were trained in the Russian Federation.

During 2020, partial repairs of the buildings of 34 fire and rescue brigades of Yerevan and the regions were carried out: the total cost was 918.916 AMD.
